Erik C. Lindgren paints with oil and other various mediums such as gouache, pastel, pencil, ink and acrylic. Most of his recent work is oil on canvas and has a driven obsession with detail and precision. Since his childhood growing up in the Midwest he has developed a strong eye for details, and the history behind his subjects. An avid rail fan and automobile enthusiast since his childhood, Erik loves to recreate an intense life in an otherwise inanimate object such as a automobile grill or a locomotive. Erik photographs every piece of reference he uses in the creation of his work, often times shooting as many as 100 photos for a single painting.

A graduate of Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design in Lakewood, CO, Erik has worked professionally with automobile museums, clubs and a myriad of art collectors and consignment work.

Erik resides in Arvada, CO, where he is heavily active in local antique auto clubs and the rail fan hobby among relationships with a model railroading club and employment at the world’s largest model train store, Caboose Hobbies as a photographer.
